The MISSIng Link
We have equiped her with a roof a 40mm sandwich top, in order to sail out even if it should drizzle. She no longer has the old 248hp engine but 2 top-modern four-stroke Mariner outboard motors of each 40 hp. A GPS chart plotter and autopilot has been installed. The gangway has been renovated and the cabin of 13m² has a flat deck so wheel chairs can manoeuver without obstacles. We have installed a small kitchen on board as well as a toilet.
Unfortunately we have to postpone the use of Missi until 2002 as it appeared that the weight distribution was not optimal for our use. To straighten out the problem we have to alter a great deal and we were not able to make these changes for this season

We wish to use Missi:
- to make expeditions to the other islands going ashore and explore the life on these islands. Here we can experience every island with local guides or with a nature guide from Strynø.
- to go ashore on uninhabited islets with a lunch basket or barbeque.
- to explore the life of the sea floor and the remains from the big peat bog flooded for 7000 years ago. You can still see tree roots and oaklogs.
- to explore the sea floor after dark having searchlights under the water so we can fully exploit the porthole on the bottom of the cabin floor.
- to sail around Strynø and just enjoy the nature.
It is unfortunate that we cannot get started until 2002, but we will only carry out the project when we can do it right.
